So, me and my friend was determined to get my PC back up and running again, so we put all of my PC back into it's original case now with the cpu cooler and new power supply. Thankfully, It worked and now I have my PC back

But that isn't what the title is about. The title is about the fact that I re-installed windows, as you have to. Left my games partition as it was. And when I go to play a CoD 4 server it says my keycode is invalid. Even though I've bought a keycode off of someone prior to me and my friend fixing my PC. I don't really get why the keycode would be harmed when I didn't touch my games partition. What I'm trying to get at is. Is there anyway of getting my keycode from the dir somewhere? Or not?

tl;dr can I find my CoD 4 keycode somewhere in the dir.

Yes, of course I know about that. I would have gotten the key from a IM log, but I deleted the windows.old folder without realizing. >_>

Umm, have you try using recovery tools? Installing it via windows doesn't erase all your data.
