Well dude, you might not be able to check your e-mail with the address anymore. Technically, however, the .net passport should still be valid if you activated it via your rsbuddy e-mail account previously. Try to log into msn with a downloaded version if you haven't already.

I can still use MSN I just can't use the email address which means I can't change my password or change any account settings as those are done through MSN.com

My bad, when I see MSN I automatically assume MSN Messenger.

Also, try using live.com or something, there should be a way to at least change your password for messenger.

Or did you mean account passwords/settings for other websites etc that are/were associated with that email?

No, the only thing I use that email for is MSN. I can't change MSN password/account settings without going through the site. I have tried live.com

What if he registered it on steam or such one of those platforms that you can't change unless you can confirm activation on a previous account. He should have atleast given a warning that he was going to cancel it.
