I'm on the phone with some Indian dude for my cell phone company since it got fucked up and I'm pretty sure that right after he gave me the ref #, he said "my name is skullfish and have a nice day, ill transfer you" lol

Anyone have any other funny tech support stories keeping in mind they're not racist and/or derogatory?

I've had a tech support call, though .. this guy didn't seem to know what he was doing. My bill was about 75$ over what it should have been, and i went to check with him why it was so high. So, he was checking his computer and what not , and i asked him, "do you know what you're doing?". He later said "Yes, well .. kind of" .. He had an extremely strong Indian accent. So, about 15-20 minutes later of him screwing around, i asked him what he was doing , and all he said was .. "Eating a sammich."

I pissed myself laughing after that.

They do care. It's their job, just like it would be anywhere else in the country. If they don't succeed at helping you with your concern, their job is at risk. There's a common misconception that tech support doesn't care for your problems. That's not true.

My old last name was "German".

We called T-Mobil because our PP card wasn't activated, and CVS wouldn't activate it. We encountered a strange man. The conversation ensues.

"Hello?"
"Hello, my name is Tom. I need your name and phone number please."
"Of course, my name is **** German."
"I'm sorry sir, I don't speak German."
"No, my last name is German."
"I'm sorry sir, I said I don't speak German. Can I get you a translator?"
"You fucking idiot, my name is German!"

It's amazing how illiterate some people are these days.

Anyone could have made that mistake. German is not a very common last name. Nonetheless, good share.

Sometimes you'll just find yourself with those idiots and the situation is inevitable. I usually make it entertaining. :rolleyes3:
