Gaining more developers

We should attempt to find all the developers of this forum. I feel that we lack members of this usergroup, and should attempt to find more, you'll actually be surprised how many people on these forums could code.

We can attempt this by creating sticky's that will ask for all coders, or creating contests in which involve creating a program; The winner of the contest could win the Developers usergroup.

Why do I believe we need more?
I've only seen 3 users that are developers, so that by it self should convince you. Not only that, but the developers section is completely DEAD, I would love to see a little more traffic going into that section.

The usergroup isn't a prize.

But I understand, what you are trying to say.

I understand what you're getting at, but it's a contest about program developing. This way, the user must know some programming in order to win. But the winner must validate that he in fact did code what he did.

Ahh. Validating they created the program is a good idea.
I didn't think of that.
-Kinda tired. =P

What languages do you need to know to be a developer?

Any language, as long as it's actually a language.

For example, knowing: PHP/C++/Java/VB.NET/ETC is good
but if you only know Batch files, that's not good.

In the end it's us who are going to be putting in all the work, I just don't want to see a handful of children who copy pasted visual basics for a year thinking they can program.
