Gamertag Swap Question

Ok, since everyone is getting ready for the reset tomorrow I just have a question how a certain process work.
My main account has already used the "free change gamertag" how does the proccess work if i'm trying to claim the tag tomorrow?
Let's say I don't have a free name change. I go on the site to change my name and I was able to get a name, does it charge me automatically after or?

I believe you have to change it on the Xbox One if you have already used the free change via xbox.com

I don't have an Xbox one lmao. I'm doing it over Xbox.com. I just needed to know what happens if I try to claim a GT even if I have to pay
I've never really swapped a tag on xbox.com with a tag that doesn't have a free name change so idk how it works or what happens

You might be able to claim it on Xbox.com for this reset. In his post, Major Nelson mentions that Xbox.com is best way to claim them like 100 times.

Yes I already know that. My question is what happens when you claim a tag with an account that has already used a free name change. I'm talking about what happens after, like does it automatically charge me or I have to fill in so many info bc it'll just waste my time.

I assume you'll have to select your payment option granted that you already have one attached to your account ie. Credit card, paypal, Xbox dollars

You can change your GT on xbox.com or xbox one and i think in the microsoft app too, but you need payment method with money ready. Like PayPal, debit or credit card or xbox currency on your account

Since no one seems to know what you're asking I'll answer. You need to add billing information with $10 on it (for the name change) then it should ask you to confirm it on their website then it will bill automatically. Hope this helps.
