Hey guys, so some of you may know that I am a goalkeeper. I've been a keeper for about 2 years now & I play for a team. I do believe I am a good keeper, I know how to dive, kick & I have some pretty sick gloves & gear which cost me about $300 altogether.
I just have a problem, I am extremely bad with my grip. Is there any way I can get better with it? Let's just say I need to learn this as soon as possible because the season starts soon and I am on the starting line-up and don't want to get kicked off.
Let's also say the reason I need to learn how to have good grip is well.. I was in goals and a person took a free kick. It went to the top left and I dived as high as I can and I saved it. It was in my hands and the ball slipped out and went into the goal.
I was substituted instantly, and it was the 79th minute and the other team won 2-1 because of my mistake. You will never understand how embarrassed I was, and also when the ball is high in the air and when I'd go to catch it, it would slip out of my hands but I would always get back to it. It's hard training to have good grip in my opinion, and I really need help.
