I'm not one of those edgy Atheists that hates on the bible and tries to stop religion completely, but I'm more of a quiet one who doesn't rant about religion. So last night, I went to go see Exodus: Gods and Kings (a movie if you didn't know). When I watched it, I was disgusted by how "God" kills others because they do not believe in him. Also, I ask my family (who are hardcore Christian) why "God" created us. They say he created us so he could be worshiped. See? "God" created us out of his own selfishness, so he could be worshiped. Also, in the movie, "God" stated "I want them to bow down to me" or something along those lines. Now about the pro-life, don't get me started. "God" killed thousands of innocent Egyptians in the movie. Although it's a movie, it's what people actually believe and continue to support. Take a look at this article. Those are instances in which "God" kills innocent children. There's also instances where "God" aborts mothers, kills infants, kills children, and supports child abuse. "God" also destroys cities because of their "sin" by killing thousands and thousands of people. Can someone enlighten me as to why people support a killer of children?

The movie is Less about the Christian God your family would be referring to (I haven't seen the movie, but you've led me to assume it's more Egyptian Type gods we're talking about). In some religions the "God"/Dieties are more brutal. it's all about your Religion. I personally only worship the Flying Spaghetti monster.

I think your thinking to much into this, "God" in my opinion doesn't exist rather its something people use to either blame for their misfortune or thank for something fortunate thats happened to them, it's like a form of "hope" for others who are in misfortune, I don't actually believe such a holy divine being exists, I could believe in "Death" but not god or satan.

@"Random", the movie had nothing to do with the Egyptian Gods except when the Christian "God" killed all of the people that didn't follow him and followed the Egyptian Gods instead.
