It's astounding that a society so developed and advanced technologically can ignore the obvious fallacy and contradictions in the Bible, yet the masses of the Western World still continue to follow its doctrine as if it was required for life.

There are arguments that God exists in some form and they're are arguments against it. What I don't understand as how you can throw yourself into the belief of either side because we will simply NEVER know. Either way requires faith. You have to believe in something that you have no real proof on so I wouldn't call either side ridiculous. Why would you need any carbon dating to tell you how old the earth was when you have the creator right there?
