good benefit of smoking

do you believe that smoking can cure or prevent any diseases? well as i read on the article smoking can relieve or prevent schizophrenia....

I hope you post the link here of that article you read about. All I read about smoking are a lots of negative effects to the body. Never heard of that kind yet. Smoking causes a lot of cardiovascular ailments, respiratory disorders and a lot more. I saw a poster in a hospital showing the effects of smoking to a human from head down to the feet. And if ever, that article is correct, and doctors would confirm that, I think it will create more confusion as to whether to stop or continue cigarette smoking again.

I think, it will just make you sick. There are people who losses their voices because of throat cancer and this is caused by smoking. Another is lung cancer that is common to smokers. I don't think smoking is good for your health.

I have a young friend (she's 13) who already smokes! Her mom allows her to smoke because she has the Tourette's Syndrome and the nicotine in cigarettes helps her to get relaxed (her doctor said that). So smoking is helpful, also for losing weight, I think... But it's better to find other solutions, smoking backfires!

In exchange of curing the Tourette's Syndrome, if she's been smoking at 13 years old, doctors would say that within 10 years of continued smoking, the girl will develop COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

The only benefit that i could think of from smoking is Tobacco company gets richer every day. And to get the benefit of smoking, I should be a tobacco plantation owner!:Smile:

I strongly disagree with this. Nicotine is one of the major compound in a cigarette and we know how toxic and fatal it is. So if they were claiming as you said on that article that smoking can do good benefits, then I should see people in the lung center healthy and out of it and living life without any worries. It might have a possibility to give some disease prevention but I'm not gonna take this offer as it has the most ridiculous side effect if it will become a set standard of medicine. I don't wanna wish to be relieved then exchanged with lung cancer, impotence, high blood, heart attack, stroke and insomnia!

I don't have any idea or read somewhere that smoking is good or have benefits for human's health. As we know from the studies and researched, smoking is very dangerous to human especially for the lungs, heart and more. I would be very please if you share us the link about the good benefit of smoking that you read somewhere. Thanks.

nothing is good in smoking, except some diseases. it may feel you to be smart, but you are the biggest fool in the world if you think that.

I doubt that smoking can have good effects. If smoking has good effects then all bad things in this world must have some good point.

The doctor who is prescribing 'smoking' needs to learn the medicine from the beginning, in my opinion.

Her parents smoke and they're quite lazy and they can't stand their daughter's problem too, so it's easier for them to let her smoke. It isn't right, I know, but it's their choice. I'm sorry for my friend...

In my opinion , there are no such thing as a good benefit of smoking, maybe there are addiction that cause someone who might feel relieve after smoking and reduce their tension but remember , this is only for those who are addicted to smoking and not he normal person. There are no good benefits for smoking.

If there is a benefit that can be had from smoking, I believe, it is the ability to make the smoker relaxed especially after eating. I have seen people do this and they say it relaxes them. Maybe, that's why its addicting.

there is no good benefits with smoking it only results of lung cancer which is incurable.Actually i dont have any idea why many people got addicted to smoking though there is no good effects that you can get about it, you will just waste more money if you get sick.

for me in my own opinion i dont see any good benefits in smoking as far as i know smoking is dangerous to our health so we must to avoid it.

i know no benefits of smoking and shizophrenia being cured?where is the link between the two?i think you need to post the link of the article you are mentioning in here.

This is the second smoking topic I've seen on here and I gotta say, I'm really starting to despise non-smokers.

I don't know about the article that you mentioned, but I do know that smoking does help me in other ways.

I'm a pretty aggressive and rash person. Before I started smoking, I would do stupid and violent things to appease my anger or just because I was bored. Smoking gives me a way to pass the time and cool off peacefully. Non-smokers say it's rubbish and an excuse but I don't think any of them know me personally so they don't know what their talking about.

Like I said in a previous post, it's better for me to smoke to calm myself down than resort to habits I used to. Everyone deals with anger and stress in a different way and if I choose to inhale toxins, that's my problem. Think about it, there are non-smokers who preach to smokers the harmful effects of smoking but then they deal with their stress in equally harmful ways. Some drink until their drunk and don't have the sense to know they can't drive. Some come home and beat their wives or children. Some wait until they snap and then go on a killing spree. Therefore, I don't think smoking is as bad as everyone says, as long as you're respectful about it. Of course it isn't right to purposely bother people with your smoke and throw your butts everywhere.

Bottom line is, I've known smokers who died in accidents, drug overdoses, or because they chose to commit suicide. I've also known non-smokers who have died in similar or the same ways. We're all going to die and whether you smoke or not isn't going to affect that. The fact that you don't smoke doesn't mean you're immortal or more effective in preventing death. So get over yourself. If a smoker decides to quit, they're not going to do it because you told them it's bad for their health. We know that already, thanks Captains of obvious.

If you don't want to smoke, that's fine. Don't tell me what to do. I think there are bigger priorities in your life than whether someone you don't even know smokes.

NO smoking is very bad for health for ever if there is some good thing in it it may be but very miner.

no i don't think so that smoking is having any benefit towards any thing they only causes illness to health and its leads to death please stop smoking
