Government

I may be a little late, but I felt that this would be a good thing to post.

What is government if words have no meaning?
A question... one that would lead to the death and injury of several people.
Most people who reported on the shooting claimed that it was a senseless question sprouted from a mentally ill mind, but is it only that?

I'd like to hear what you guys think about it.

Well, it depends on the government.

To answer your question, a government that does not listen to it's people are nothing and will surely be overthrown, paving a path for more uprisings.

The government, if you haven't guessed, is the American government.

I believe even the U.S. could go into a revolution any time now, that would make way for new political parties to take hold. Just remember that nothing can stand tall forever. Like a building, now matter how long it stands, it will come down eventually.

Are you sure that you read the OP?

Oh right, don't let me go on about random political babbles.

Most people who reported on the shooting claimed that it was a senseless question sprouted from a mentally ill mind, but is it only that?

This guy was not what people call mentally ill, he was a revolutionary.
He is a catalyst for revolutionaries to start doing their own things.
So yes, there is more to it than that.

He didn't like what was happening and took action, like all revolutionaries.

On January 8, 2011, a mass shooting occurred near Tucson, Arizona. Nineteen people were shot, six of them fatally, with one other person injured at the scene during an open meeting that U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords was holding with members of her constituency in a Casas Adobes Safeway supermarket parking lot. Those killed in the incident include United States District Court for the District of Arizona Chief Judge John Roll and one of Rep. Giffords's staffers. News reports identified the target of the attack as Giffords, a Democrat representing Arizona's 8th congressional district. She was shot through the head at point-blank range, and her medical condition was initially described as "critical".

I don't like to judge, but you're what I call, a sick person.

How would you suggest someone to start a revolution? (U.S. government)
Give the government flowers?
Peaceful protesting?

The so called "free world" is not free at all, it is oppressive with it's laws.
Therefore, violence should be the answer.

I don't exactly condone his actions, but it is a catalyst.

He shot 19 people because she passed over his question...
How you could agree with that, is beyond me.

(He was also diagnosed with schizophrenia and allowed to plead guilty but insane.)

Oui.

Not by killing anyone but by cutting off the money flow. 9/11 was a major event that killed 3000 people, I saw not even a spark for revolution but only a bigger love for the country and Bush re-elected. Violence is never the answer.

In a country like the U.S. (which IS what we are talking about), there would be NO way to severe the money flow. We are the biggest consumer nation.

Also @mattis, I don't mind, I understand that I am sick person.

Might want to watch the direct attacks a bit.

That wasn't a direct attack. It was a sad note that I felt I had to add.

He thinks that a mentally ill man shooting 19 people, because a congresswomen ignored his question, is good. I don't agree with that and I'm not going to pretend that I do. I feel that he learned about other political systems and read up on them, and then started thinking that democracy and the American government is a tool of Satan. All he talks about is socialism this, communism that. Without even making good arguments against the system that he apparently hates.

This thread is not about socialism, this thread is not about communism, and this thread is not about making conspiracies seem more true. I asked a question, so got back to the OP and reread. That's what we're talking about now. Ok?

Who, me?

If so then:
  • I don't believe in Satan, that's clearly wrong.
  • I'm not some brainwashed drone, I have clear conscious of what I say
  • I've made fair points about socialism and capitalism alike, if you care to prove me wrong, do so.
  • I don't hate democracies but I don't think they work as well as a communist system would.
  • You don't make any arguments for/against capitalism/democracy, so don't act like you know unless you do know, then feel free to post it in one my numerous threads.
  • You're clearly attacking my political beliefs, and I have not pushed my beliefs onto anyone here, if anything you're spouting propaganda for anti-revolution.
  • If you feel I'm too "radical" then ignore me, simple as that.
  • Death will and always will happen, no matter how, get over it.

I was wrong. I was biased and didn't look back at what I've been doing.
I feel that we should go back to the question at hand, though.

It's alright, I don't blame you.
You might find it sick, but I see more to it than just some crazy murdering lunatic.

I find the question a good one, but he was mentally challenged.
He thought the government was out to get him and even tried to invent his own alternatives to certain things.
