Some suggestions to make sure groups don't turn into shit.

1. Make a group cap of how many groups there can be.

2. Make a group price limit for the minimum a group can be sold for.

3. Make an ownership time where you cannot sell the group within 6 months of getting it.

4. Give group owners the ability to rep +5 more over what they have currently.

5. Bring the transfer fee up to $75, so if people want a group they will be willing to pay the fee, it also helps the site more.

6. If the group owner has the group for over a year they get a free userbar change (update), If they own it more than 6 months then they get a 50% discount on the update.

7. If a member gets permanently suspended there group gets deleted, even if they come back with a pardon they do not get the group back.

8. Group owners can select members to moderate their sub forums.

These are just some suggestions thx for reading, feel free to critique the suggestions.

I'm all for increasing the value of the groups.

I'd add that inactive groups(6 months) get deleted. as there are some that aren't even being used. and are just invalid at this point

I would have put that but i talked to philly a while ago and he said that if a group is inactive that he closes the group until the return of the member.

I agree with all of these except for #'s 3 & 5, kinda iffy on #7.
I especially like #6, very nice idea.
And, Philly was supposed to stop selling groups a very, very long time ago, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong (which I doubt I am), and well now... now there's over 25 groups. Oops. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But I do hope most of these suggestions get taken into consideration, +1.

3+5 ensure that if you want a group that you are in it for the long hall, so people can't buy a group and a week later sell it. Which would make getting a group rare to come by.

Lets hope these don't get put in effect before I sell my group haha, I need all the cash I can get to pay philly off.

But i'm with you on these mate.

Ask philly if you can remove your group form the market as paying him back lets get a start on it.

I agree with those points, I just don't like the idea of transfer fees in general.
And for #7, I actually agree on it. If a group owner is to be banned, their group should be deleted, yes. In the past I believe they were re-sold by Philly.

whoever buys it can do what they like with my group, I don't think they'd want to get rid of it being the only .gif group on the market currently.

I like all of these ideas besides the raise of the transfer fee. I'd like to see these implemented!

I also suggest to allow more than 1 coleader and all groups that are inactive, such as envious, be removed.

I believe 1 co leader is fine, thats why i suggested owners to be able to mod members. Envious isn't able to be applied to so i think that is fine.

Its not.
But the reason I personally would want more coleaders is to run more divisions.
But firstly, NO more groups should be created. Philly should buy out all current groups for sale and delete them, and raise transfer fee to 100$. Thats what I suggest. The site makes so much off of group transfers, you have no idea. Making the 6 month limit will hurt that.

Its not just about making the site more money, its about giving groups a reason, and making them less shitty.
