GT Question

I have a question. Why do people blank out there GT in GT threads. I see it all over FK & HF. Like for example, Someone will sell the GT Fuck, But they'll blank it out & put - F*ck. Like if MS wanted to ban your tag, They'd do it w/o you having to blank out your tag. It really gets annoying having to ask people what there tag is, Just post it. If they wanted to ban it, They'd ban it. They're not gonna be like, "Oh he blanked out his tag, I don't know what it is, I guess i wont ban it", Like no.

Here's an example.

Lets say someone was selling the username "Mop"
He blocks it out so it's "M*p"
Microsoft can't ban it because the * could represent an "a" to make the gamertag "Map" instead of Mop.

It's for security reasons because selling tags are against Microsoft's ToS I believe.

Lol did you no read anything in the OP. I understand why people do it, I just don't get it. MS will ban it either way. Blocked or not blocked, So why block.

That makes no sense -_-.
If there isn't proof in the thread, and the gamertag is blocked out.. Then they wouldn't even know what Gamertag to ban..

What if it's *ope.
