Scamming on RuneGear.net is Unnaceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances

Some Tips:

Before Trading Research the member use the search button and look for any Scam Reports or Bad things about him, ask your friends and etc.

Use a Trusted Middle man

If your worried about going first or something. If the other member is denying using a middle man do not trade with him he is most likely a scammer. Cancel immediately.

Teamviewer:

TeamViewer is a great program to see if the person actually has what he claims to have. You can see his computer what he has open.
If they are not a scammer they will have no objection to using teamviewer.
For example: You might be talking to a hacked e-mail if so he will deny your Teamviewer request.

Always do the following.

Record all conversations no matter what. Some scammers are clever and will outsmart you even if you follow these steps.

Take Screenshots of all conversations and upload to Tinypic. Who knows they might come in handy overall.
As well as recording your chat transcript or conversation logs, you may find it in your best interest to carry out trades/purchases via PM sessions.

Never post your IM in public and always ask for Pm Verification.

That's why you don't send it as a gift or other, record the trade, and if they try to dispute or don't pay you send the video and screenshots to paypal.

As much as TeamViewer can be an excellent program to facilitate purchases, it's a potential cesspool for virus threats. I strongly suggest you familiarize yourself with this remote assistance software before you chose to use it for business.

For more information, visit TeamViewer's official website and navigate to the 'Features' tab on the top right hand corner of the browser.

Record all conversations no matter what. Some scammers are clever and will outsmart you even if you follow these steps.

Very good idea although I'd like to add to it. As well as recording your chat transcript or conversation logs, you may find it in your best interest to carry out trades/purchases via PM sessions. The reason being as follows; in the occurrence of a scam, RG's officials can easily refer to both parties' inboxes for validity. Whereas if you take your business elsewhere, such as a public chat software, RG can be held liable or even help you resolve the dispute.
