Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings?

According to me it is one and the only one Harry Potter!

Lord of the Rings is a prime example of a better movie than book adaptation. I tried reading the books but can't get into the lyrical story. Tolkien said he wrote it as an experiment linguistics. The story does have fantastic creatures and epic journeys but the books make exciting event boring with the language used. The movies cut away all of the boring language, focus on the battles and imagery, and add in great, meaningful dialogue. Many people disagree but this is my preference.

Getting back to Harry Potter. The books are terrific and beautifully written. There is no comparison between it and Lord of the Rings, in the sense that Harry Potter is written in normal modern prose and language, making for a quick, easy read. The visuals are just as fantastic and require great imagination on the readers' part. We all imagine the same text different ways.

Lord Of The Rings all the way. In my opinion the movie is way better than Harry Potter. Not saying that Harry Potter is not nice but the action in the movies is disappointing... Story is great but action...

As for the books i haven`t got the chance to read them yet. I told one of my friends to buy me the original books from France and i`m still waiting for them...

I like both actually but since Harry Potter has a lot of sequels, I enjoyed it more. Every time I hear from entertainment news that another project is on plan for another movie of Harry, I can't wait for the time that I'll be able to watch it. Harry Potter movie has almost been something to anticipate for every year.

Until 6 hours ago, I liked both these classics equally. But the new Harry Potter movie is so mindblowing that I have to say it is better than all three LOTR movies.

I both love Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I used to think that Harry Potter is solely for children to enjoy, however, the last movie proved it to be exciting and awesome that even adults would appreciate it to the fullest.

Lord of the Rings put me so much awe and emotions. I love it so much still that even how many times I repeatedly watched it, I never had the option of not watching it anymore.

I do love both the films - the storylines, the cinematography and the actors/actresses!

I both watched the movies and I prefer Harry Potter. I want to read both books too to see the difference ‘cause I believe that there is a big difference between the vision of a writer to a director of the movie.

I like both movies but I need to choose only one, I like " the Old of the rings, the two towers, return of the king. The movie make me put myself in the scene because they all act naturally and seems its real. I like Harry Potter too, but for me Lord of the Rings is more entertaining and with thrill.
