Imagine a world where money means more than a life. Where anger and depression are common ailments. Imagine living a life like this; a life where everything is done just so, with all these rules and regulations, and yet at the same time everything is done with a certain aloofness, a sort of I don’t care attitude. You know Newton’s third law of motion, that every action has an equal and opposite reaction? Imagine America like that. Where you can’t do anything without something completely different and completely the same happening to you in turn. Imagine waking up every morning and just wondering what the point of it all is anymore. You don’t need to imagine this world, this life: this is it, America, land of the free and home of the brave, in all its glory. And we have not lived up to the five ideals listed in the Declaration of Independence: rights, liberty, democracy, opportunity, and equality.
