Blood donation is the noblest thing one can do for the welfare of Human kind. Blood donated in time can save a life! I used to donate blood when I was a student and this I have done several times. Now since I am working and placed at a remote place I am unable to do the same any more! But if I get an opportunity I definitely would like to donate the blood! How about you have your ever donated your blood? Are you interested in doing so?

yes i did and it felt fulfilling thinking that the blood you are donating can save someone else's life. Aside from that, donating blood is healthy as long as it is done in a reasonable interval since it cleanses the body and allows your body to generate new blood cells.

Ya i have donated my blood. And i think its a very very good think to do. As physicans suggest that we must donate our blood in every 3 months. There is sometimes lack of blood in blood banks. If you donate some blood that blood can save a life of a person think about it

Blood donation is something real noble and for a cause. I am regular donor and have been donating for some time now. it gives me immense pleasure and a satisfying experience when i feel i can save a life.

Whats more than saving a dying person, or the one who urgently needs blood for some disease or operation. Its a blessing to have good health and one should use it for humanity. On special occasions i along with my spouse go for donation.

No I haven't yet. I don't think I can at this time. I admire all the guys who have donated blood for other people to save them. When I was a lot younger I have thought about it somehow but I didn't push it through. I wish I did.

Well Dear Ms Raintree, never mind! You missed the opportunity! But then I appreciate the feeling that you missed the opportunity and you wished that you could donate the blood when you were young! Well, still there is no problem, you can always encourage the youngsters to do so by telling them the advantages about this noble cause for the mankind! Thanks !

Yes. The needle hurts. It hurts because it's a needle. A big hollow needle that is poking a hole in your skin. Other than that, it's fine. The ouch part just takes a second. If you get woozy at the site of blood, don't look at your bag.
If you are very muscular or a very good runner, you also have a better chance of passing out. Make sure you eat a good breakfast the morning of the blood drive. That will help.
