Help me decide on a computer!

Help me decide, I've broke my computers.

Macbook Pro: My macbook pro had a screen issue where it'd freeze up and turn white so I punched it after my anger issues kicked in.

Horrible Windows: I didn't have $ so my dad decided to let me have his old computer, it was probably an '09 hp. The disk drive fell out and it doesn't turn on anymore.

So guys, I need a nice computer I was considering this "Gateway P-7805u FX Edition" because it's on my local craigslist. I'm really looking for a used computer but not off ebay, so I can inspect it before droppin' bills.

I'm not much of a gamer, but love HD computers, I use my computer mainly for; Occasional ISO modding//Web Developing//Graphics//School//Work

So I don't really need a gaming computer, but it doesn't matter.

I'm mainly looking for:
-Windows 7 or newest Mac OS
-Great quality, it has to have great resolution & be crystal clear
-Speed, I'm a very impatient type of dude
-Portability, I'm differing whether or not to buy a desktop/bulky laptop and a netbook for school or a laptop for school & home
->$1000, I'm not making much cash ATM, so please let it be less than 1,000

Those are my main focuses, please post suggestions for irXP's new computer!!

Note: I'd rather have a sexy computer @ home and a shitty $200 computer for school.

So don't worry about meeting the guideline of portability..

I'd give it about a 7/10.

It did have a heat issue, but we went it back recently and got it fixed. I suggest getting an extended warranty if you decide to get it.
