Hide unused sections of your profile.

Very recently the option to get a "Kik" section under the "Additional Info" pane featured in your Profile was accepted & put into effect.

It would be cool to see "Check Boxes" next to the Social Media sections: "Twitter", "Instagram", "ICQ Number", etc. with the option to check-off the sections of SM's you don't currently own or just don't want having shared with other users, OR... you have terrible obsessive compulsive disorder & you'd like the empty space or "N/A" slot to not have to be there. Period. This implementation would serve one sole purpose, hiding certain tabs for SM's you don't have. Leaving no ugly spaces.

If this made no sense at all, I'll upload images with what point I'm trying to get across here. But how many users on FK have an ICQ Number? I'm going to guess about 25 out of the 23,000+ registered members have one. But I could be very very wrong.

I'll place a poll for shits and giggles. Who knows. My life will not end if this gets denied. Just a random thought I came up with.

I actually kinda like this idea.

Especially the ability to hide the empty spots. Not a huge deal, but it'd be nice.

Yes, very understandable. I'm leaning more towards having the ability to hide sections of which you don't currently own that SM with a simple check-box that will hide that specific tab.

Although, this probably has a lot of myBB code-fucking he'd have to do. (Which I know has to be a bitch & a half.) So I also decided to give the Snapchat possibility a go. Maybe one of my suggestions could get accepted.

But nonetheless, I couldn't care less if it was denied. The idea just popped into my head.

I like the idea of hiding the ones you don't have. If someone has every social medium on the list it would be a clusterfuck and wouldn't look professional. I'm all for this if we found a way to make it look neat and tidy.

i like the ability to hide to certain ones , i have OCD and it kinda bugs me id like to see that implemented ,as for snapchat id say no.

You're right. I'm more leaning towards the option to hide sections in your profile that you don't want to share or just simply hiding blank sections. The snapchat idea wasn't the greatest. Oh well, thanks for your opinions everyone.

I've removed the snapchat section off of my suggestion as for my opinion changed too. Now it's solely based on having the ability to hide profile sections that are left blank. If making a code to hide the sections was too difficult, there could be a script made for if that box has no text inputted into the selection box, it completely doesn't show up on your profile. Thus, removing clutter & unused sections. I don't think this is a bad idea. But I know this isn't a necessity. That's why I've made it a suggestion for anyone to give their opinions on. Hopefully staff will re-look at this. But I doubt it.
