Homosexuality: "A sexual attraction to (or sexual relations with) persons of the same sex"
I believe homosexuality is a disease whether one is born with it or it is acquired is unknown to me. Most likely it is something they are born with but is may be acquired later in the life. The reason I call it a disease is because it goes against our biological purpose. The purpose of every organism is to reproduce. A disease is a an abnormal condition. Since homosexuals are attracted to their same sex and would therefore refrain from sexual intercourse with the opposite sex they are not reproducing. That being said I believe homosexuality is something we need. Disease, Famine, and War are controls on the populations.
Now the issue of equal rights and even the right to live. I believe homosexuals deserve the right to live since they can still contribute to society. They do deserve the right to a union of some sort but not the same benefits are heterosexual couples. The most complex right to me is adoption. Children with homosexual guardians would be taunted by their peers. But I would support homosexual adoptions nevertheless.
