What do you guys think about the House censoring the internet?

I believe that the government shouldn't have any say about what goes on, on the internet.

It would be unfair. But in reality it would help a lot and stop a ton of crimes.

If this was to actually happen I would officially quit the internet the government should be taking no part in the internet unless there's felonies being committed

I wouldn't quit the internet. But you are correct that the government shouldn't be involved.

Though there are very serious crimes being committed on the internet. Most of them are felonies.

No way. As far as i'm aware, interent crimes arent on the rise and occuring at an outrageous rate. If the house gets their hands on the internet, you better believe they'll be doing more than censoring. They will have complete control over.. everything. Thats not good and this is a problem.

They can't censor the internet, I mean they can but trst me people will protest about not having the freedom of speech. That's just how it works when you take something away from the people.

Slowly but surely are rights are being taken away. We don't have the freedoms we once had and the freedoms that we still do have are being slowly taken away. The country is run by the BIG Corporations of America and the corrupt politicians that we elect.

There is a lot of not-so-legal things that occur everyday on the internet, and the government sees this as a problem. I can understand why they see it this way, what with all of the pornography, piracy, online insider trading, etc. What they don't realize is that the uproar that will be caused by the small amount of internet censoring, is much worse in comparison to the online illegal activities. Hopefully, they will see the reality of this situation. However, I don't think they are going to be censoring anytime soon. They have much bigger problems on their plate at the moment.
