How much advertising is too much?

How much advertising around your website is too much for he website? I mean google ads, affiliates and such. I currently have no advertising at all on my site, other than my affiliate page.

I will say it has to be no more than 3 to 5 ads a page and it has to be placed where they do not annoy navigation through out the forum and also do not irritate any user.

Well its better you have three banner ad on one page and some inline ads? What do you think?

Put them near the bottom of pages where people are less likely to go. also make sure they don't get in the way.
