How much longer do you expect this forum to be "alive"?

I don't think a lot of people realize how much work an owner puts into their site. It's days in days out sometimes of work. And I thank you so much @Philly for running this great forum. Thank you!

as long as cosmo doesnt get his hands on the site again we will be here for a long time

Hopefully a long time, I don't see why It should just drop itself anytime soon, the users are active, I'm guessing philly gets a nice cash flow from it, So there is no reason to say it should end anytime soon.

Jason is a 2011 Member. One of the oldest. Buying UID doesn't change join dates.

After @Philly gets killed from one of the members he banned.

If anyone posted what they actually think they would probs get banned.

Or I would for that matter.

It will last long, lots of people like OG's and this forum has alot of sellers

I thought I was going to get banned for this thread. Especially after an admin came in and raged on it. But I'd like to hear what you think.

This site will dissolve in a few years. The reasons are, very few sites of this genre last. The fact is, this site is currently revolving around the marketplace. I am not saying that is a bad thing, but it is a true thing. The big site is as well. The point is, you have to look at what they do because they are the only site that is of this genre that has succeeded to the point of 10k plus value on groups.
There are a few reasons this site will never grow as big.

-Better staff that are more active.
The staff on the other site are online at least 8 hours a day, and they all show no favoritis (with the exception of Judge Dredd). I am close personal friends with one of the staff over there, not posting publicly but Philly knows as we have discussed it on skype. We need staff that dont help out their friends, dont do things for themselves, etc. and whose only goals are to help the forums. We need staff that can ALWAYS be on and help other members out.
-Ban less people.
It has become common philosophy on a lot of sites that staff and admins should ban anyone who disagrees rudely or ban freely when they are in a bad mood (example: @Shot getting banned for calling staff corrupt). The fact of the matter is, that ONLY works when your forum/site reaches the point that you no longer need to advertise to grow, and only one forum of this genre has done that. At that point, it is fine. At the size this forum is, the goal should be members. Perhaps a -100 or a repfuck (a -1000 in this case, removal of all positive reps in the other site's case) for the guilty party. This site isn't large enough yet that staff should ban freely.
-Change the reputation system.
Rep should no longer be able to be removed. Staff should no longer remove their friend's negs. Not calling any one staff out, but staff do remove negs for their friends. The ONLY reps that should be removed are ones that are scammer reps, without links to disputes OR community warnings. Other than that, reps should NOT always be removed. Also, revenge rep should be allowed. THERE IS NO ISSUE WITH IT. If someone hates you IRL you have every right to hate them back. Similar issue.

Plenty more I should go into, but I am leaving for vacation now. I have no issue with the site. I know how hard @Philly works. But there are flaws.

I'm holding myself back. I don't want to waste my time for two users to read what I have to say. Everyone else will just skim through it and post in agreement or disagreement as if they read it all.

I'm not looking to hurt anyone's feelings. While I have many positive things to say, the negative things will simply override the positive and I don't want people thinking I'm the bad guy here.

Unless I have a sudden change of heart I am going to keep my mouth shut regarding this topic.

Some time around I believe this website will crash and there goes the end of it. Most people here leave or get banned and go to H F. I am one of those users who left for half a year. I didn't really come back I just get on here and there.

I hope this forum stays up for a good while. It seems as it is, with such a great looking community.

The forum will continue to grow, as i believe.

A LOT of money goes into keeping this forum.
