How old are you before it can be said you died of old age?

So, ForumKorner, how old are you before it can be said you died of old age?

As you may know (or some may not), since 1951 you cannot legally die of old age, but what age do you think you can safely say someone died of "old age"?

I believe once they hit the senior mark (age 65 I believe) then you can safely say that..

I'd say anywhere from 80+. That's when things start to go wrong, healthwise.

No but your body has begun the aging process by 27. Last I checked, you can't die of old age if your body has yet to begin aging.

I suppose once they're classified as a senior citizen. But no human is truly old, our species is still very young compared to the age of our universe and home planet; Earth, and other species.

When you die of a natural cause due to body failure, aka when one of your organs shuts down due to age, and not smoking/drinking for example.

I agree I rarely see someone that's like 85 and 'functioning'. I meet a lot of 70y/o that are still what I consider "young"

No but your body has begun the aging process by 27. Last I checked, you can't die of old age if your body has yet to begin aging.

You realize that your body is always 'aging' right. I believe you meant to say digressing as opposed to growing.

There is no such thing as dying of old age. Most of the time they have a heart attack and die in their sleep (dying of old age) and that doesn't happen until 65+

I would say you'd have to be in the 70's, I consider that pretty old.
