Do this survey.

Is your computer encrypted?

What encryption method?

Cascade of methods?

Decoy OS?

Normal wipe, 3 pass, 7 pass, or gutmann method?

Code:
Is your computer encrypted?
   Yes, high level encryption
What encryption method?
Cascade encryption method, 12 methods, not going to name
Cascade of methods?
   Yes, Above.
Decoy OS?
Yes, personal decoy, and business decoy.
Normal wipe, 3 pass, 7 pass, or gutmann method?
   Gutmann method.

If you are interested in encrypting your Hard drive you can use TrueCrypt, not what I use but is a good free alternative.
Please read any warnings when encrypting hard drive.

If you are not secure, would you ever be interested in becoming secure?

Is this the sort of protection from a physical entry attempt, or from malware and virii?

If its physical entry attempt, I wouldnt need to worry about encrypting, because nobodies going to get with 50 feet of the machine without me knowing, lol

Don't see the benefit really, care to enlighten me?

I am using Military Grade encryption.

I have plenty of things on my computer that I would rather no one of the law see, it is virtually uncrackable. If you were to crack it, it would take 5-10 years just to get past the first low scale encryption.

IF I were to be accused of having something on my computer, they would not be able to prove anything.

IF I were to have to give up the password, I could give them the decoy OS.

TL;DR
It protects my ass if someone wants to get into my computer for "Blackhat activities".

I can also start a Gutmann Wipe in less than 30 seconds if I need to completely wipe my computer.

Physical entry attempts.

Read the above post for more information to why I do it.

I've crypted my hard-drive before, it doesn't help because only stupid people get virus', check what you download.

Has nothing to do with viruses.

You can Gutmann Wipe your whole computer in 30 secs? no you can't.
Although, the only benefit is if someone of law comes knocking. Unless your downloading excessive amounts or help any piracy scenes, thi won't really help

I said I could start a Full Gutmann wipe in 30 seconds.

To do a Gutmann wipe on a 2TB HDD would take an average of 4-12 months.

You can do an initial wipe too, which then makes the data, somewhat, unrecoverable until the wipe method finishes.

It is useful to me, as I have had problems with the law in the past.

I know what you are trying to tell and that means that you wanted to know if how secure our computers are when someone is trying to break in and you don't mean viruses.

If you can read your post, your are one of a kind.

Please retype your post in a somewhat grammatically correct way.

Sorry for the errors mate but I meant that the encryption of your HD is good enough to make the authorities waste enough time before which you can wipe out the whole black hat stuff from in there. Which has nothing related with a virus infecting your PC. I hope this was one is better lol
