1. Start a conversation with someone

2. Type a link in there, something relevant to the convo so they will be likely to click the link.

3. Press space but do not hit enter it yet, Highlight the link.

4. With the link highlighted, click the little chain symbol towards the bottom of the window.

5. Now where you see 'Text to display:' leave that the same but where you see 'Link:' paste the following words:

PHP:

'aim:goaway?message= (Your message here)'

6. Change (Your Message Here) to whatever you want their AIM away status to be.

7. Soon as they click it their AIM away status changes to whatever you put.

In order to get this to work you must put your message in using the "+" sign for spaces. For example: This+is+the+message+you+want+to+input.
Plus if you want to change their status and not their away msg you put a hyperlink as:
