how to know if a Gamer tag is a v1?

i wanted to know how can you tell and. i see some people saying the gamertag is a v1. how does that make it unswapable? and also if you buy a v1 would you have to buy the xbox with the gamer tag on it? and if you don't and try to download the profile what will happen?
 
You tell by:

and it says gold when its obviously inactive:

ALSO:
You can't buy a v1 for they're not linked to a email account.
so you can't sign in.

And unswappable?
you cant swap it so yeah, its unswappable.
also if u have a spaced version of a v1
like: S h o t
you cant swap it because another form of the gamertag still exists.
and you will lose it.

I don't understand because the guy "WISH" is V1 but he could log into his account. And he even messaged my account Icicles, and he screenshared. So how can you not sign in them?

You can get that gamerpicture from a gamerpic injector also so he could be lying that its a V1

what is his skype or aim
and screenshot the message.
 
Nah he has the legit account, but he's not going to sell it. He'll just scam people for money who are trying to buy it, I charged back. But I have a message on my Xbox Account from "WISH"
 
What Shot said is basically spot on. You can't sign in to a V1. It's impossible. You're lying about the proof. IF he screenshared, it could have easily been inspect elemented.
