How to Mine Bitcoin With Your CPU

This guide was made for the HF crowd, but I figured "what the hell, I'll post it here as well".

First off, if you don't know what Bitcoin is, watch this video:

Step 1: Download the Bitcoin Wallet client from here: http://bitcoin.org/

Step 2: Sign up at http://triplemining.com

Step 3: Create a worker. Click on the tab on TripleMining.com that says "Workers". Give it a username and password and click "Add worker".

Step 4: If you are running Windows, download this zip file I made: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/305333/HF Mining Pool.zip

Extract the zip file to your desktop. You will need to configure the .bat file so that it has your worker's username and password in it.

Open "mine.bat" with Notepad and add your worker's username and password where you are supposed to.

NOTE: Your worker's username and password may be different from your TripleMining.com username and password.

Save the mine.bat file and run it. You are now mining Bitcoins in the HackForums pool. Congrats. If you want to join a small pool of ours, go to the minipool tab and join "HackForums".

YOU MUST HAVE MINE.BAT AND BITCOIN-MINER.EXE IN THE SAME FOLDER AND THIS FOLDER MUST BE ON YOUR DESKTOP IN ORDER TO WORK!
