How to setup a proxy on Firefox (FoxyProxy)​

Steps -
1) Go to the first link at the bottom of the page and click the download button on the page.
2) You should be directed to the second link at the bottom of the page, you have to then click download again.

3) There should be a pop-up prompting you to install FoxyProxy.

4) You then need to re-install firefox for the install to complete.

5) You should have an fox with and red ring and line going through the circle in the bottom right hand corner of your browser.

6) Go to your tools and then while foxy proxy is highlighted, select "options".
7)When the options box is open, there should be an add proxy selection.
8) Then input your proxy and its port, you will then need to select its sock or you can select "SOCKS proxy?" option for IP proxies.

9) You will then need to name it, to do this go into the general setup option and enter the desired name.
10) After all of the info has been inputed, you should get the option to access and use your new setup proxy. Mine is called "1". To use it, just left click on the proxy.

Good thanks but could just use any old proxy they all do the same.

Awesome tutorial buddy. I have tried it and it really works. In future, it will be of my great use. Thanks for sharing the tutorial.

Its not really a tutorial of how to set FoxyProxy up, it just tells you how to install it - which most Firefox users already know. Doesn't tell you how to configure it.

Still, thanks for sharing.

I actually just go to Torproject.org and I download the Tor package. Everytime I start Tor, Firefox starts with a proxy setting. that's how I do it, very easy.

However, thanks for sharing, I like to try different ways of doing things and will definitely give this a try.
