Alright, well, everyone knows about msconfig and how to config the startup items.
This tutorial will not be about this.
This tutorial is going to introduce and familiarize you with a software in beta right now called "Soluto". Now, you can download Soluto (direct link) here.
Now, how does Soluto work? Well, it works by having you restart your computer, timing your boot, analyzing the software that boots up, and then allowing you to "pause" or "delay" a program. We'll get to that later.
Now, once you've downloaded Soluto, install it and then something like this will pop up:
Hit Reboot and let it work it's magic. In the bottom right hand corner, it will time your boot and show you which programs are booting up. Once your computer is done booting up, here's where the magic part of Soluto comes in.
Soluto connects to their servers to see what each of your startup items are and whether you should "pause" them or "delay" them.
Alright, that's what the main window looks like... now, lets look at with "pause" and "delay" means.
"Pausing" a program just means it deletes the program from the startup.
"Delaying" a program means the program will start running when your computer is idle.
I hope this helps anyone! I know most people can use msconfig, but, if you have a friend, this will help as well. For me, I can do both, but I like Soluto even better.
