How to stop hiccup

I now have hiccup. I already told a friend beside me to surprise me but it seems to have no effect. How do I get rid of this, help!

They say if you always hiccup just drink a lot of water.i try this before and its quickly stop.just try this and let me know if its work for you.how can you surprise your self if you do it alone,lol
 
Try to drink lots and lots of water all the way down or tickle the ticklish parts of your body that you can laugh so hard. I found this out from a local news in our area. I don't know if it works coz I haven't tried it yet. I haven't had a hiccup for many months now.
 
Yes my mother always said that drink lots of water and try to breath with slow energy. I'm even get hiccup i think like everyday
 
i think the best way to get rid of your hiccups is by the use of brown paper bag just inhale exhale in it and you will notice that it is gone. if you dont have brown paper bag you can use the ordinary plastic bag the small one.
 
Drink more water. This will help ease hiccup and eventually heal it. Just drink more water or juice and it will just disappear.
 
This is one thing that has worked for me, everytime - hold your breathe as long as you can. As I have said, it is always working for me. Maybe, it will work for you.

Sip a small amount of water and swallow without breathing an air.
Do the same step for 7 times,but you have to be quick doing it since you have to hold your breath till you finish off the seventh sip.
Try it and i am sure it will help to stop hiccup.

I agree with everyone. To stop hiccup, just drink a lot of water and it will surely stop. Whenever my daughter hiccups, I just let her drink water and it will go away.
 
Hiccups? All I do is drink water and it will stop in an instant. There's a funny remedy that I learned of... just put a thread on your forehead and it will be gone in a flash. Have not tried it though. It will surely make me look funny, so I am fine with just drinking water.
 
All these advises work but the most effective way of getting rid of hiccups is to hold your breath for at least 30sec. Drinking water prevents hiccup as liquid passes through your throat. Getting a surprise makes it reverse and at least stop a beat of your heart. But holding my breath really works for me.
 
Drink alot of water. The key is to drink it in a continuos manner. You don't have to chug, you can drink it slow, but drink it without stopping. The whole reason this works is because it controls your breathing.
 
the only remedy for hiccup is to inhale deep and hold your breath for a seconds and after that try to relax your diaphragm and your hiccups are gone..
