How to tag staff? (special characters)

I see members everyday who do not know how to tags certain users because of the special characters in their username. This is especially troublesome when a staff member such as Cannibal, Greed and Mclovin need to be tagged.

I have tried copy pasting the names when others have tagged them and that doesn't work. If possible I think this should be implemented, or perhaps a permanent option [a box?] on the side of each page that allows those staff to be tagged at the click of a button. Like a template.

I'm sure this thread has been made before but until this issue is resolved and has beacons common knowledge -or something similar to my suggestion is implemented, I feel it needs to be discussed and clarified.

@"gayspecialcharacternamehere" you just have to add quotes around their username.

What about the chracters? They need to be readily available so people don't need to dig around to find a previously tagged post so they can copy paste the characters themselves. Like I said, a template box somewhere maybe in the UCP.

add them to your buddy list, then you can just pull down the menu, and copy/paste.

it's a simple, easy solution.

To make it easier for you, Gr33d and Mclovin set their names to be tagged in a different way.

If you type Gr 33d, without the space, it will turn into gr33d. You can type @ "Gr 33d" (Once again, without the space), and it will turn into @"Gr33d".

For Mclovin, you have to type his name like this: @ "Mclovin" and it will turn into @"Mclovin".

Cann!bal is easy, just @ "Cann!bal", will turn into @"Cann!bal".

Hope @Justice and I have cleared this for you!
