I want to start uploading music to YouTube but I don't want to get flagged. I am uploading edited music from real artists. But, I am not going to monetize.

How do I upload them without getting flagged?

If it's edited, you should be fine uploading it as a remix/edit. Best way to do it is to contact the artist and ask for permission to upload for strictly promotional purposes.

Well, the music won't be remixed. It's going to be bass boosted. Not sure if that counts as edited.

A long time ago you could edit your song and speed the tempo up or down so that it wouldn't pick up the song. But that was in 2010.

Yeah, but how is it that there are so many YT accounts that upload a bunch of music and don't get flagged/banned?

How about the videos with millions of views that are obviously not from the content creator?

If you listen closely none sound exactly like the original. That's why I say make small adjustments to the tempo.

Yep because if you adjust the tempo it's basically a remix. I used to upload copyrighted music to YouTube years ago. I used to be a YouTube freak haha.

I always slow the song down about 2% and turn the bass up about 5%+.

It has worked for me so far.

I sent you how to do it legitimately, not over thinking it like the rest of the people.

All you have to do is link the creator of the music in the description. Also, I would recommend putting this statement in all of your videos also.

"No copyright infringement intended. For promotional purposes only. Including Fullscreen2, Collab, Jukin Media Copyright Management. If you have any issues with ownership of the videos or any copyright; please contact me."

Bingo, you're golden.
