Human Cloning

Honestly, this is one of the dumbest ideas our world as come up with. Not only is this immoral, but it's just plain stupid. The last thing we need is more humans to help destroy the Earth. We have plenty of them already, and enough is enough. Okay so what if your brother or cousin or best friend just died, your going to make a copy of him? That's just wrong, how do you think they would feel about being replaced. A clone doesn't mean the same, it means similar.

I personally think human cloning should be allowed for testing and experimental purposes with some limitations for now....
Until they progress and can further research it that's all my opinion would consist of, strict monitoring and limitations but still allow research

I think it's weird, and abruptly stupid. Anything to do with creating another human being the unnatural way is stupendously fucked up. Anyways, that's my opinion. Others?

I think it shouldn't be allowed..

Too many people on Earth already, cloning would just destroy it.

I agree with you, also if they sucessfully clone someone, then they are gonna be tapering with the human genetics even more.

E.g colour hair, eyes, male or female, that sort of things....

Human cloning and genetic modification isn't practiced to over-populate the world but rather for scientific research. If you need a spare limb one day, the progress we make in that field may very well help you.

I don't really understand the concept, so I can't really state an opinion. Based off of what I know, I would consider it against nature's way, although so is a lot of things we do in our current society.

All in all, it's hard to say

Then the next thing you know, we're cloning our parents back, then our deceased loved ones.

That's why this is a debate and not a fact. The fact that scientists do or do not know when to stop is an issue. Which is why I'm asking all of your opinions.

I don't know how I feel about this topic.
Deaths/casualties wouldn't mean anything.
Would the death rate drastically drop?
This is a very nice thing to talk about, because there are so many sub-topics under cloning that you can go under.

The Problem Is That You Would Create A Human And Then Kill It Just To Live A Bit Longer I Acculy saw A Movie About This A Few Weeks Ago And I Think Its Just Wrong But Still Wrong If You Could Clone Yourself To Survive You Would Do It But If Somon Ells Did It You Would Proberly Think Its Wrong But I Am Not Sure

P.S. I Dont Remember The Name Of The Movie.

Off-topic: Was the movie called 'The Island'?

It wouldn't be considered a human being. With enough practice and research, we'd hopefully someday be able to regenerate human form without personally traits so there would be no guilt or conscience. It's the same concept as when new mothers preserve their child's umbilical cord because it's thought to believe the tissues can stimulate growth for any organ in the human body.

I do not think it is possible. Simply because:

Matter cannot be created nor destroyed.

1. Humans aren't matter.
2. The argument is not whether it can be done or not, it's whether you support the reasoning behind the research. It's already been done.

Hmm this is a really interesting subject.

Cloning humans might be profitable after a nuclear war or stuff like that, with the bombs we have now, 1 bomb can nuke europe completely off the world..
There will be a war like that sooner or later, because we are human and wars have always been amongst us.

And the huge knowledge we gain by researching this is incredible..
If it isn't for cloning humans, we can just clone chickens, or other food sources that might not be available in a hundred years, because the animal went extinct.

There's allot of profit in researching it, but thats just my opinion.

All physical objects are composed of matter, in the form of atoms, which are in turn composed of protons, neutrons, and electrons.

We are matter.

It's pretty pointless, since the clone isn't controlled by you, it's the clones self. not you.

it's not an Arnold Schwarzenegger film
