Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS)

I believe a transition to HTTPS or offering the choice would improve the security and confidence of individual users. I know it may take some time but I believe @"The Elite" is more then capable and this would be worth while.

Wikipedia HTTPS: Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol with the SSL/TLS protocol to provide encrypted communication and secure identification of a network web server.

Though there is no such thing as perfect security we can take precautions. HTTPS would provide extra security.

I do understand that a man in the middle attack is possible but I don't think that is a flaw that should cause us to not switch.

What do you think?

What's the point in that, we're a RuneScape community. I may add that for the upgrade page, but definitely not for the forum.

I really do understand where you are coming from and I do think the upgrade page is a necessity. But this would also be effective in any type of page, even websites like facebook have it implemented. It's completely your choice and I understand that you could spend that time doing something more important.
