run a backup to your latest date before yesterday. see if that works.

go into msconfig and see if you have anything shady in startup.

Really simple solution, download ccleaner and/or avast anti virus and that will clear all malicious programs which will clear all your ads.

You have adware installed. What I suggest doing temporary is using Google Chrome and install adblock and popup blocker

What is popping up? Is there a lot of highlighted text? Are there windows poping up? What is the website/popup advertising?
