I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I give my respect to others before I even meet them. I believe that the chivalry I practice today will be spread to others by the people I have shown it too. Maybe you could consider it a domino effect. I do believe the worth in this is great, as you help both yourself and others. I gain the one thing I crave the most in this world, respect and acceptance. I offer to you the same task. Treat everyone and everything you meet with the same affection as you would your own brother. If they wish to mistreat this and abuse your trust, lack no such hesitation to strike them down as the scum they deserve to be buried with. You cannot be redeemed by anything other then sole actions you give to others. They alone act as your judge, jury and executioner. Do not depend on them to gratify you though, as that will give them the power to condemn you without a reason. Give them the belief they possess the power, and believe it yourself; but do not give them the power to do so. Use this as your guidelines for society, and watch as you become a paragon of virtue and respect. It is the only true path to glory, as all others are tainted with evil.

I disagree with this completely.

I believe that you should treat all people with respect.

I agree. I always treat people with the utmost respect and compassion until they do something to change my opinion of them negatively.

Edit: This doesn't mean I don't treat them up front with respect, but I wouldn't do for them what I'd do for others.
