The small crowd I have at the moment thinks I am attractive, I would like to grow it more though. Not entirely sure how.

This is what I currently do.

Make your account based off a certain style. My style is something based off of Yung Lean.
Then go to a page that has the same style as you. I went to @YungLean2001 which is Yung Lean's official Instagram.
Go follow as much people as possible. Instagram has a cap now so follow 50 people, wait 20 minutes, follow another 50 people.
Do this for as long as you want, but don't abuse this because your account will get banned if so.
Then use the app justunfollow and unfollow all the people that didn't follow back.
After a while of doing this. Use the app Instrack and unfollow all people you follow that are inactive and don't like/comment on your pictures.

I've been doing this on my current account for 8 days so far.
Right now I have 680 followers and I am following 533 people.
My pics each get roughly 75 likes right now. It's about normal to get 5-10% likes of your followers.

Extra tips. Make sure you keep liking other pictures. If they see you like their pictures, they will like your pictures.
Personally I keep my profile on private. I feel I personally get followed back more.

Vouch for this method. I got to 1k doing this and got 200 likes per picture. After 1k you can just do sfs.

I was like a tumblr person so I directed my followers from there. And did sfs with other plant themed instagrams. Look at http://instagram.com/da.ns he is my irl friend and I made him famous.
