Illuminati - What is it?

Everyone, debate about what Illuminati is, I am starting to believe it's just a secret organization that helps each other in return of commercial, there have been a lot of people saying it is a group of satanists, but why would they then use the all seeing eye as their symbol?

I just google'd "The all seeing eye" (In Swedish though), and it was kinda like "The eye of god". So what is it really?

I am not sure if this is the right section.
