I'm having an issue with my IDE to SATA device thingy..

Below is an image of what I bought.



I can't seem to figure how i'm supposed to get it to work and the seller on eBay offered no instructions.

Would anybody be able to help me out?

Isn't SATA a hard drive company? If I'm not wrong it could be some sort of adapter to transfer information to drives.. That's my wild guess :3

Turns out I misread what I was buying and it doesn't do what I wanted it to do -.-

But i'm looking for something I can use to take all the data off of an old IDE HDD so I can put it on my new PC, It's just photos and stuff.

No, no it isn't. It's a type of data transfer cable for hard drives and disk drives, to put it simply.
