Are you saying this from a religious point of view?We are here on the earth for a reason

legokiba213 said:No not really I mean form just a scientific point of view we are here because of resources right?? Why not use them?

Huh? Animals kill each other all the time.
On topic: Yes we are the most destructive species to ever set foot on this planet and Earth would have been better off without us. I think we are the most destructive because we are the most intelligent. From an atheist standpoint, natural selection made us the smartest species so technically nature fucked itself over when it created humans.
That's one of the reasons why I'm worried that computers will eventually overthrow the human species. It may seem far-fetched and unlikely now, but think about it. We keep making computers smarter and more self-sustaining, and just like humans did with nature, computers are going to eventually realize that they can conquer us. It might not happen in our generation but in the future, computers will be the dominant species on Earth. that is of course humans don't annihilate Earth with nuclear weapons in WWIII.
