Some people ask me why I like space so much. Well, I can't really explain all of my reasons for my astonishment and wonder towards space. So here are a few pictures that may help you realize how truly astonishing and incredible space really is.
___
The Andromeda galaxy, fact: it will eventually collide with our galaxy. The Andromeda galaxy is HUGE compared to our galaxy (Milky Way), and we will probably be destroyed when the galaxies collide.

I don't know the name for this galaxy, but it's very pretty. Warning, large picture.

Once you've seen those, it must be a little easier to understand why space is just so aw inspiring. It really is just amazing.

Thanks, I hope you enjoyed these.

That's pretty sweet. It bother me not knowing whats out there and how long space goes on for. Where doe it end? what's at the end? can something really go on for ever?

:/

I always wanted to be an astronaut, until Obama the Llama shut it down.

Lucky for you, astronauts will never be able to explore these parts of the universe. It would take millions of years to travel to them at the speed of like. Depending on their distance of course.

I think being an astronomer would be cool.

That's the beauty of it.

I personally believe that it does go on forever, as you may or may not know, the universe has been proven that it is expanding, that expansion is from the big bang, which basically sent all of these "things" like galaxies and nebulas flying into space and as we sit here, the universe is technically getting bigger.

It's just amazing. :)

Ok, so if it's expanding what the hell is there before it expands? by expanding that means that it does end doesn't it? meaning there would have to be something at the end.

The universe as we know it is expanding out into what we call space. What you are asking is, what are we expanding into?

Well, we don't really know. Because our universe is so large, we cannot see all the way out into what is past it, but most likely, it is just space. Perhaps there are more universes out there. Like how the big bang caused our universe to begin and expand, perhaps it has happened more times farther in space.

We have yet to learn such things.

So you're saying that it's "most likely just space" ? that doesn't make any sense bro. But in know you dont know, no one does. It's fucking frustrating

I am merely a 15 year old boy. You can't expect me to be able to answer the question that has been asked since the beginning of our intelligent existence.

By space, I mean the vacuum in which we call "space", I was just putting it in a simple fashion, because it's easier to comprehend. The vacuum of, well, nothing really, is what we call space. It's probably just empty out there.

There is a reason people made religions. They are simple ways to explain stuff without having to actually figure it out logically.

Space is a major concept. Nobody expects you to understand it. It's the people that go above and beyond that discover the answer to these amazing questions. It even confuses me.

PS. Sorry if your religious, I am just stating an opinion about that.
