Ok, I have experienced with growing an account 100% by myself and for free. I have made 6k in 2 months (4 months ago).
1) To start off make sure it is original and good. So, I recommend you erase the meme idea. Instead make it a brazzer parody account or urban dictionary account (Both are original).
2) Next, do follow for follow until you reach a certain point (you already did). MAKE SURE TO DELETE ALL GHOST FOLLOWERS IF YOU DO FOLLOW FOR FOLLOW.
3) Make friends, trust me, they will be useful.
4) SFS are your best friends. Find accounts willing to do SFS (shoutouts for shoutouts are when you take a screenshot of their picture/feed and say, "Follow @" " for their cool feed). In my experience I had made 1k from sfs (100% free) in less then 12 hours. Also get shoutouts from your friends (don't be an annoying bitch).
5) Once you trust someone enough they could be your minion. They do sfs for you while you do other things.
