It's that time of the year. Once again, Intel's roadmaps have been leaked and we get to see what Intel has in store for us in 2012. I find the first bits of concrete info like frequencies to be the most interesting as they tell us what's really coming and allow us to analyze what to expect. So, let's see what the desktop Ivy Bridge lineup holds inside.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/5166/ivy-bridge-overview

Info:
Ivy Bridge will be using 1155 socket motherboard. If you own a 1155 motherboard and plan on buying Ivy Bridge. You will need to update BIOS

New Ivy bridges will be using 22nm instead of 32nm. Meaning it will produce less heat and power. Also will have better overclocking capabilities

Ivy Bridge will allow user to support PCI-E3.0. Just to let you know. Nothing much of a differences between PCI-E 2.0 and 3.0.

Ivy Bridge will be released in April.

Ivy bridge will have a 20% improvement in CPU performance and 40% in graphic performance.

Forgot to mention, Ivy Bridge will be same price as Sandy bridges.

Uhh, except double the bandwidth?? Thats a big difference and allows for faster GPU's with a reduced bottleneck in XFire and SLI configurations.

There's no differences at all in performance.
