I don't think it's worth it.
They're pumping out new versions about every year.
But they're not changing much.

I would go for an Android phone, it's a much better OS in my opinion.

I love my iPhone, but honestly, I think I'd rather have a Droid. From what I've heard, they are much more efficient and somewhat more advanced than the iPhone

All of Apple's products are awesome, they have apps, songs, tools.

But one thing I hate about Apple is their weak glass they use to make the iPhones/iPods.

I bought an iPod 2 months ago and I just cracked the screen after dropping it for the first time.

I was thinking of buying an iPhone, but then I decided not to. In my opinion they are just teched up tablets that are smaller and cram all the possible technology they can into them and there's nothing that amazes with me it, yes, theres a lot of good apps on it, but do I really need help brushing my teeth or using a phone's GPS when I could much more effiecently use a full size GPS system that's got more tech crammed in to it.

With the iPhone, it's like you get a sample of different things, never the full works. Which is exactly why I don't want one. If I was given one, I wouldn't say no, but I wouldn't go and pay for one.

If you had an iPhone, you wouldn't need to spend an additional £160 just for the GPS.

And what if you planned a trip and realized half way to the location you have no clue where you're going? Sure you could waste time looking for a shop around the area that sells a GPS and hope that they take credit card, otherwise you'll waste more time looking for an ATM; by the time you get to butlins they'll be closed, sadface for the kids.

Or you could just fire up the AppStore, find a GPS, enter your password and be on your way in minutes.

And perhaps you get lost on foot? A GPS isn't the most efficiently lightweight of tech to carry around with you.

[shadow=red, left]As LMCampbell said, I would much rather have an android-based phone. I currently have a Droid and it runs faster and much smoother than my friends iPhone.[/shadow]

Well iPhone is grand, but if you like loads of music, be prepared to buy from iTunes.

Lol I remember mum going 'wtf' when I was holding her iPhone and it slipped XD

You don't have to buy from iTunes. I hardly ever do. My phone won't fit even 1/4 of my music on there, but I use and app called Pandora to listen to music on my phone. Anyway, all you have to do is have the music file as an mp3 and just open it to iTunes, and its there
