You can jailbreak it. Google is your friend. There are many tutorials out there that are free. You can always restore. If there's a new version just wait. There will be a jailbreak that will be release. Don't be afraid to jailbreak. And take note if we are talking about Iphone. You don't stop in jailbreaking there is what we called unlocking.

Unlock= so it can be used for making/receiving calls on other networks ...example t-mobile

Jailbreak= to free it from apple software restrictions. example use non-itunes apps, song videos, and emulators, homebrew..etc.

I used to have jailbreak software (for iPod) on my pc. It's called Blackra1n. Google that and you can find the right download on their official website.

Yeah redsnow is a good i used it in past to jailbreak my friends iphone just am thinking to have one for myself.

Actually theres a jailbreak software but i don't know how to use it as i don't have a iphone and i only downloaded games on my aunt's phone via jailbreak which her friend had helped her

If I was going to get an iPhone I asked that friend of my mum if he could do it for me. He said he can't if it's on bill pay as it might cause troubles in the future or something..

There is one problem, if you jailbreaked your iphone and afterwards there come some software errors.
The guarantee is gone because you used illegal software..
Negative aspect of jailbreaking but anyway very nice to get all apps for free xD
