Ipod Help

My friend gave me an Ipod but there is one problem, whenever i try to download an app it says to put in the password for the Apple ID from the previous owner, but my friend doesn't know it neither. How can i bypass this? Thanks in advance.

If you do a factory reset on your computer with iTunes I believe it will remove the previous Apple ID, unless it gets iCloud locked, and well in that case you my friend, are fucked.

@awhile i just setup my own icloud there was no Icloud account connected, forgot to mention that the Ipod is Jailbroken, is an itunes reset still possible?

The reset will remove the jailbreak but you can still reset it.

I've done it dozens of times on my phones while they are jail broken and there has not been a single problem, also you can't do shit with the iPod if you can download anything else.
