Is anime detrimental to the youth of America?

According to recent studies, anime is "slowly making teenagers more pathetic and undesirable". This is something that interests me greatly, because I for one love anime and I like to think I'm quite normal and attractive. However statistics reveal that anime not only attracts unemployed virgins and man children, but it could in fact turn you into one. With anime being as cancerous as it is, I'm starting to think there should be some kind of laws in place to prevent anime from being watched -- like child porn, in fact a lot of anime is childporn. Do you think anime is holding us back as a society?

Who the fuck said it makes teenagers "Pathetic And Undesirable?" Whoever said that is an ass. Sure it's bad but I don't think they need to go that far.

Anime is like injecting marijuana. Once you have injected 1 you are going to soon inject 4 whole marijuana trees :C

Anime is a cancer that needs chemotherapy.
