Is God come to us to save while we are in trouble?

I have feel such many things in my life when I am very sick and I go to sleep than in my dream God come to me and show me very good dream as i am in heaven than i wake up and now I am very active than before. Is this true.

i remember a famous saying which goes like,"got help those who help themselve
and i truly believe in this.god does help in our bad times but only if we are ready to help ourselves. he can only hint on a way,and we have to catch that ray of light and follow the path to come out of worse situation.if we just sit by closing our eyes in blind faith,then we may not be able to catch that ray and will not be helped.
