Personally I do not believe in God. I think that we have evolved through time and we as a species are still evolving. In a hundred thousand years or probably more (if the earth is still around) are species will begin to look completely different just because of evolution. Basically im just stating facts right now and random stuff aha but do you believe in God? If so why?

This is from a post i made earlier :
I believe in God. But it's slamming your head against the wall telling people over the Internet about God. Anyways , in the bible it's says that the bible isn't for none believers . Because it's illogical, it's based on faith. The mind of a man can understand only so much. Man denies what it can't understand .

Yes, I believe so. I am a Christian and have followed religion since I was young. In todays world religion can barely be called a religion. Its not becoming an opportunity! Im glad I live in a small town, we still have church after school every Wednesday. FCA Officers including myself run it!

Thats very interesting. Yesterday I was thinking just randomly thinking IDK why but i begin to think what if i wasn't born? What if this (meaning people and everything around us) didn't exist? Those are just some question that are completely impossible to answer but I was literally asking these questions to myself and going over them in my head for 30min during school. I would really love to major in Philosophy. Its very interesting and you are always able to hear different points and beliefs.

Ya , i try and think about life after death and it being forever and i can't wrap my mind around it. I like hearing peoples views on things im not a stereotypical " Christian" thats close-minded and thinks everything is a sin.

So if you dont believe in God or anything what do you think happens after death?

Have you looked into/studied people who say God isn't real? What I don't understand is how people who "god chooses" to work for him and spread the word of God are raping little boys and the church protects these priests/people who are doing it. You can look it up and you will find many cases where the church has ignored it or even just moved the priest/person to another church. It almost seems as if it is accepted. Also how are you able to believe in God when we live in a day and age where people are able to create forms of life (such as microscopic organisms) on a computer. Isn't it Gods job to create all life? Just some questions I have im very interested in this subject. Please don't take any of these questions offensive and I'm not attacking you im just trying to understand/get more information. Thanks

Personally I would like to believe in being reborn. Given another life. But i don't think that is realistic. What I think happens is you just lie there sleeping. I think its almost like when you close your eyes and nothing is there/happening. I would really like to believe in us as in people coming back as an animal or another person but that is just completely unrealistic. I always ponder this question and I always want something to be after death. I don't want it to be a complete blank. Maybe when we die we just wake up on another planet or place in a completely different body or something and this was just a game or a lesson.

So byuNQz you believe in the Hindu, belief that man/women are reborn into another being based on their past life and the choices they made during that life? Correct me if I'm wrong...

I believe that God and Jesus are real. I'm a Christian, but I don't consider myself a saint or better than anyone at all. I also try to look at other peoples beliefs from their point of view, and if we don't agree we just don't. Simple as that.

I mean I would love to believe in that but I just think it is un logical. I dont really know what to think but for now I dont believe in anything. I think that there is a race some where out there that is far more sophisticated then us. I think they will have the answers ahah this planet is far to big for us to be the only intelligent form of life out there.

I'm sick of these ignorant and overall stupid types of posts.

Allow people to inquire on their beliefs, allow people to defend their beliefs, and allow people to see why their beliefs are complete malarkey. These debates allow people to escape indoctrination -- their beliefs may be dictating their whole and only life and making them waste it. Besides, I want to live in a more religiously, intellectually, and scientifically literate society and through religious debate this goal can be achieved.

There is a definitive answer to this debate. Absolutely every argument in favor of a god is logically flawed.

What makes an argument logically flawed if it is in favor of god? Please explain.

You're not asking the right question. Give me an argument and I'll explain to you why it's logically invalid.

I completely agree with you first off I dont think there is any way for someone to prove God is real. The only proof they have is from other people they have no physical evidence or research.

So you come on a forum pose a very bold and quite ignorant thesis statement claiming that any argument, and therefore all arguments in favor of a God existing are logically flawed, yet you are placing the onus on me to provide you with an argument.

Since you have so kindly given me the opportunity to do so I shall. But be warned I will only be going through this argument in a Socratic dialogue so please be patient while we build up an argument that is logically sound in favor of God.

Who gave birth to you, or if you would like to more crudely put it who created you?

Yes, because the burden of proof is upon theists, not atheists.

*facepalm*

That's not an argument, that's a question.

A very simple question that you have not provided me the answer to yet.
