Okay, hello RuneGear.
I'd like to point out that with the forums growing larger, and the post count growing each and every day.
I've personally noticed a few people being very offtopic, not going to chop anyone down personally.
They post irrelevant conversation, to raise their postcount because I suppose it makes them seem "larger" than anyone.

Does this bug you at all? If so, post below with your reason(s) why.
Also Should Action Be Taken Against This?

But my point is, you don't HAVE to POST on EVERYTHING. If you have nothing to do with the topic, or are not gonna post what is supposed to be posted there in the first place, then it's unnecessary for you to post, and thus someone just wanting post count. Quite frankly it's happening a LOT on here.

Why don't you explain how off topic they go instead of just spamming on this thread that is talking about spamming?

Ontopic: I don't like the spamming I see here.
But, I do my best to remove the posts I see that are worthless in my eyes.
I'd like this thread to actually get some posts on it that are relevant to it.

Well for one, i would expect people to do the right thing and not abuse the point system like they are.
Second, They just want the post count.
Third, it's one thing if normal users do it, but it's not. It's the ranked people who do it the most. Staff are people who set examples, not people who do it themselves.

Yeah I admit. I wander off sometimes. But i'm trying to catch myself... To improve. Usually only happens when i'm Mod or Vip. Idk why.

It would still be a big help if Elite would take interest in this. It would help stop spam majorly, and get rid of useless post.

It's not that people are getting more post count, it's just when they say something off topic on a thread just to make post count, if you post a lot and it deals with the topic then there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

If they're going offtopic, then they should be warned/disciplined in some way.

Maybe there should be a reward system (points) for reporting _____ real posts (posts that don't follow the rules).

It's not hard to stay ontopic with a thread...

Well post count makes search optimization ability to a Extend so for a Beginning forum its Okay !

Um no it's not okay, It's nothing but annoying really.
If you don't have business posting, then don't post there...it's not that hard. It does nothing but get the topic off track if you do post something that is just spam in the first place.
